Homewood Suites by Hilton Carle Place - Garden City, NY

The room was great. I booked a one-bedroom suite and was upgraded to a two-bedroom suite thanks to my Gold membership. The service was awful. The woman at the front desk on Dec 11 never showed us a kind face: she was sulky from the beginning and we didn't know why. Later that afternoon, the carbon monoxide detector was beeping low battery so we called the front desk to have it replaced. She said she would send someone, but nobody came. We waited until night and were ready for bed but the detector was still beeping. Some of us had already turned in and in order not to disturb them I detached the detector from the wall and took it to the front desk for a replacement. Without an apology, the attendant immediately blamed us for removing it from the wall. I had to do that precisely because she had not done her job, but she treated us like little children who had to be scolded, and when I tried to argue back by telling her we had waited for someone to come, she became even more irritable and adopted a harsh tone to talk me down. This attendant didn't care about the feelings of her customers. She is not cut out for the job. We would prefer not to stay at this hotel again if someone like that still works at the front desk.

My company sent me to a Long Island Location and chose this hotel. It is very comfortable and extremely clean. Breakfast is delicious and the bed and pillows are high quality. The staff is friendly, very helpful and committed to your satisfaction. If you go over there try to find Cheryl and Dom!!! They made sure I was comfortable all the time and treated me amazing. They definitely proved this location cares about guests. I just have to say Thank you!!! Definitely coming back!

One of the best hotels I have stayed at . My son wanted his 8th Birthday at a hotel with a pool . Well he got just that & he was a very happy kid . The room was clean , beautiful, the staff was polite ,just overall so sweet and made you feel so very welcomed. My little man had an amazing weekend & I also want to send a huge thank you to the Hotel Owner Paul for also adding special FOX-ARIFFIC things to our room. Made my son who's on the spectrum light up from ear to ear & couldn't wait to go to school and tell his teacher's and classmates ,how he had the best weekend ever at the Homewood Suites. Thank you over and over again for making our sons birthday so very special . We can't wait to visit again .
